Hello to my Fellow Ohioans, Voters in Greene, Clark, and Clinton Counties, and Others!

I am Dan McGregor - Candidate for Senate District 10 - and welcome to my campaign website! During your visit here, you will learn about what I will bring to the Ohio General Assembly, once elected. You can learn more about my personal background on the “About Dan” page, so here I would like to make just a few introductory remarks.

First, this is my first time running for public office. I think being a politician is inherently honorable when done to be of genuine public service and not for personal gain or to represent narrow interests. By that definition, it is my sincere intent to act honorably.

Second, as I am new to grappling with the many issues that impact Ohioans, I will draw upon my multifaceted experience to understand the issues deeply. I chose my education and career pursuits in science (physics) because it satisfied my curiosity about the fundamentals of how the physical world works. I will bring that same inquisitiveness to policy making in the State Senate.

Third, I believe that the democratic form of governance is the only form that has any hope of leaving a thriving legacy to the generations of Ohioans to come. As your senator, I will work to enhance democratic decision-making throughout Ohio. Moreover, I believe all Ohioans should be wary of any non-democratic concentration of governing power that shuts out dissenting voices. That is what we have now, and it is already failing present and future Ohioans.

In conclusion, by voting for me and getting me elected, you will be rebalancing the voices in the Ohio Statehouse. Regardless of your party affiliation, such a rebalancing is in your best interest and the best interests of all future Ohioans.
